Two quick bits about Sorcery 101 (which I really need to review). First, I really need to read Kel McDonald’s LJ for S101 more often. It seems she’s been doing a fundraiser to run the comic 5x a week during the summer, and it’s just $190 shy of the full amount (of $1,200). Not bad, and it’s remarkably less than what other cartoonists have offered to run their comics 5x a week….

Second, I’m rather fascinated by recent updates with the character Trish, who seems to have a bit of a crush on the psychotic vampire Seth. Or maybe he’s sociopathic. And I’m left to wonder just why it is Trish thinks Seth is nice?

I suppose the answer should be obvious enough with a little thought. It’s the same reason any jerk is popular with the girls… because they usually put forth their best foot forward when flirting with cute ladies. No doubt Seth hasn’t done anything cruel to Trish, or around her. And to be honest, the biggest thing I’ve noticed about Seth is that he doesn’t tolerate fools or what he perceives as stupid behavior (except his own). So Trish, who isn’t exposed to Seth as often, is just lucky she hasn’t gotten on his bad side yet. Or maybe love’s just blind….
