Actually, I'm fairly certain that they're not kids. Todo mentions that SUEPR is sort of an "alternative track" for students who don't want to take college classes; here's the relevant comic. While Todo calls them "kids" I suspect the "kids" in question range from 15 to 20 (in human age terms).

So it really depends on your definition of what a kid is. To me, kids are under 10. Other people feel differently, I'm sure. ^^;;

As for the lack of the Uncanny aspect missing in Chapter 5... they were in a world where people acted more realistically, and two of the three were not native sons and daughters of Reality. A.V. and Hawk had a good idea of how bad things could be and that they shouldn't just blindly trust. It was Todo who got the rude awakening... and yet managed to maintain his morals despite questioning them for a bit.

Now that was a great read! (so glad Chapter 5 just got finished!)
A perfect example for how webcomics can shine.
The uncanny "WTF"-elements were mostly missing in chapter 5, and the whole moral approach was not really something new for me, but it still worked with the characters, even though the dialogue was a bit confusing at times. All besides the fact that the main chars are all kids - something I managed to ignore in the first chapters, but with all the moral abstraction, that becomes more of a stretch.
Still, great comic. I'm eager to see the next chapter!
