Among the myriad and varied pranks that various webcomics have pulled today on April 1st, there was one comic in particular that stood out for the simplicity and silliness of its prank: the science fiction comic Galaxion. Rather than claim that her comic was ending or that she was going to do something else, cartoonist Tara Tallan flipped the comic over so it was upside down. She also mentioned it was the birthday of one of her characters, and suggested that the “flip” was due to the character “tidying up a bit,” but that doesn’t lessen the sense of whimsy and lighthearted humor that went into this particular prank, and made this the comic I felt had the best April Fool’s joke. And that’s no April’s Fool.
