There are times when the anthropomorphic parody webcomic Exterminatus Now pushes the boundaries of taste and humor, which is probably to be expected when you consider the source material EN makes fun of (the Warhammer 40K setting by miniature wargaming company Games Workshop) takes grim and depressing to all new highs. Or lows. I must admit though that the most recent EN update managed to surprise even me with its dark humor, simultaneously riffing the Goldilocks fairytale (with their boss being an anthropomorphic bear who hates their guts due to their multiple mishaps that he can’t punish them for) and the “Stuffed into the Fridge” trope. Unfortunately, I think EN stumbled when it tried to cross the line twice, and fell short of the mark, though the demonically-possessed toaster was a cute explanation for the porridge bit.
