I’d like to congratulate Howard Tayler for publishing his 4,000th strip of his science fiction webcomic Schlock Mercenary. In this time, Tayler updated daily and hasn’t missed a single update even with server outages and the like. His comic has also improved in time, both artistically and in writing. What’s more, the comic remains accessible to new readers; often when comics have run for a long time, they risk becoming so confusing and full of dangling plotlines that even veteran readers risk being confused; fortunately, Schlock Mercenary has avoided many of the pitfalls that other older webcomics suffer from. What’s more, it retains its sense of fun and adventure, and continues to delight me daily. Thank you, Howard Tayler, and congratulations. Happy 4,000.
