Geist!

One of the more recent comics on my weekly reading list, Geist! is a contemporary fantasy about Kate Crowley, a teenager who was cursed and scarred by an invisible monster called a Geist. She was the lucky one; her best friend’s kid sister is comatose after the attack, which has resulted in Kate becoming a pariah at her school. What’s worse, the people who are responsible for what happened to her and her friend’s sister are continuing to harass her. Geist! stands out from its brethren in its use of watercolor art. It also has only been updating for around a year, and its archives can be quickly read through for those people who don’t have a lot of time on their hands.
