Questionable Content

It’s been said many times that art imitates life. A more apt phrase might be that art imitates art (plagiarism being the most sincere form of flattery), especially with a recent Questionable Content update taking a brief sojourn from the Scooby Crew in space in order to have some literal bathroom humor concerning toilet seat etiquette. While Jacques claims in his notes below the main comic that events might be inspired by something that happened with him and his wife, it is odd timing considering a little over a week ago South Park ran the gauntlet making fun of the TSA while killing off one of the cast’s mothers due to the failure to lower the toilet seat by the kid. Okay, Faye didn’t suffer death by toilet trauma, and I suppose this might have happened for real… but the timing is quite curious. While it’s not likely an outright theft, it’s so much of a cliché that it’s nearly indistinguishable.
