When I heard Aeire was giving up writing duties for her slice-of-life webcomic Punch an’ Pie to her partner (and artist) Chris Daily, I must admit I had some qualms. While Daily is a good artist and has been working on PnP for its entire run, I was not a particular fan of his writing in his previous comic, Striptease. Of course, when you consider that PnP has been on hiatus for a while then I suppose any port in a storm will do. Fortunately, Aeire is going to stay on as the creative editor for the comic, directing the general direction of the strip while Daily works on the more mundane aspects of storytelling. Of course, when you consider how touch effective storytelling can be, I can understand why the comic succumbed to hiatus in the first place, and hope Daily is able to remain true to both the characters, and to the spirit of what made PnP such an enjoyable comic to begin with.
