Questionable Content

One of the enjoyable things about guest comics is the chance to catch a glimpse at a comic through someone else’s eyes. But while some guest comics tend to be nothing more than a glorified cameo or a multi-part fanart, some of them help give a glimpse into aspects of the comic that the original cartoonist may never have thought of. An example of this can be found in Alina Pete’s guest strip for Questionable Content where she drew several members of Jeph Jacques’ crew as they played a Dungeons and Dragons game (and from the viewpoint of the characters, which she’ll often do in her own comic, Weregeeks). If I remember rightly, Jacques has had a drawing of the gang cosplaying as characters in a D&D game for a few weeks now, so this was a delightful glimpse into the gang with a twist entirely suited for QC when Pintsize (who must have had some blackmail material handy to convince others to let him GM) pulls a phallic monstrosity on the group. And I must admit, it would be fun to see Jacques continue this by showing Marten and his friends doing actual roleplaying in the comic… even if Pintsize was the GM.

Reminder concerning news stories

Don’t forget, I’ve started up a weekly news update section on Tangents as well (which will update pending news to comment on). If any webcartoonists have any news they’d like announced, such as anniversaries, Kickstarters, or convention announcements, feel free to e-mail me at Tangentsreviews at gmail dot com and I’ll see about including them in my planned Friday news updates.
