Webcomic News – Skin Horse, Last Call, Girl Genius

When I came up with this Webcomic News section I didn’t intend it to become a Kickstarter Cheerleading Column. Unfortunately I’ve not much news to report on at the moment so bear with me. As time commences I’m sure to get non-Kickstarter news (though I’ve a variety this time). First we’ll start with the nearly-traditional Kickstarter, as Volume 3 of Shaenon Garrity’s mad science government agency webcomic Skin Horse becomes the latest comic seeking crowdfunding. At this point, Skin Horse has actually passed its initial print goal and is busy pushing toward a $15,000 bonus level. In addition, the slice-of-life webcomic Last Call has an crowdfunding Indiegogo campaign (from a Kickstarter competitor) to fund print runs of Volumes 1 and 2 of the comic. Finally in some non-crowdfunding news (yes, I’m as amazed as you, my readers!) Studio Foglio (of Girl Genius fame) is now selling hardcopy editions of their new novel “Agatha H and the Clockwork Princess.” Which reminds me, I really need to finish writing the review of their first novel….
