Faith Erin Hicks is delaying the restart of her superhero homage/parody webcomic The Adventures of Superhero Girl due to her work on a graphic novel through the publisher First Second, along with two conventions. She is also shifting the comic to a purely online venue (it was being printed in the weekly newspaper “The Coast”) so she can indulge in more storyline comics. Updates are expected to resume maybe in July.
A spin-off of the historical fantasy webcomic Roges of Clwyd-Rhan has started up, Spun-Off, concerning the faeries in RoCR; the comic is NSFW and contains nudity and sexual situations.
Finally, Warren Ellis wrote a fascinating article concerning the changing nature of webcomics with a new breed of comics using half-page art (or as he refers to it, two-tier storytelling) that I definitely recommend reading.
